Q: I am not flexible. Can I do yoga? A: Absolutely. Yoga can help you become more flexible, but you do not need to be flexible to begin yoga. Yoga isn’t just about flexibility; it is also about breath, relaxation, meditation and working with the mind
Q: I am pregnant. Do you have a class for me?
A: You are welcome to take almost any class that I teach. I have taught numerous prenatal yoga classes and have also taught many women who are pregnant in my classes that aren’t specifically prenatal classes. It will be noted in the class description if the class is not recommended for pregnant women. If you are pregnant, please do let me know so I can provide alternate poses when appropriate for your and baby’s health.
Q: What do I wear to class?
A: Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in easily. When choosing a shirt, wear one that is tighter or that can be tucked in to prevent it from moving in certain poses. Shorts or athletic pants are acceptable for class.
Q: Is there a place to change?
A: There is a bathroom at each space to use, although the one at the Cleveland Park Club is quite small.
Q: Do I need to bring a yoga mat to class?
A: If you have your own yoga mat, please bring it. If you don’t have one, I do have some you can borrow. I also have blankets, blocks and some straps to borrow during class.
